A NEW BEGINNING (1984)
In 1984, fresh from his military service and at the age of 22, Kostantinos Atzemis embarked on a journey that would define his life. With a small loan, he bought his first set of sewing machines and began meticulously crafting fur coats from raw fur skins. His early days were dedicated to his German and Central European clients, building a foundation of quality and craftsmanship.
FIRST RETAIL EXPERIENCE (1990s)
The 1990s marked a pivotal moment when he and his younger brother, Sakis Atzemis, opened their first boutique in the bustling city of Athens, Greece. At that time, an influx of tourists from Eastern Europe brought a new wave of demand for high-quality furs. Kostantinos embraced this opportunity, immersing himself in the retail side of the business while maintaining a close connection to his factory in Kastoria, Greece—the heart of the fur industry.
THE BIRTH OF ARTFUR (2000s)
By the 2000s, Kostantinos was ready for a new chapter. He started a new partnership and launched ArtFur, a brand that quickly gained international recognition. ArtFur expanded its reach, opening a boutique in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and building a loyal clientele across the globe, including the USA, Canada, France, Italy, and Korea.
A NEW HOME (2010s)
In the early 2010s, ArtFur moved to a new factory on the outskirts of Kastoria. This new space allowed the company to open its own showroom, giving customers a direct look into the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into every piece. Throughout the decade, ArtFur showcased its exquisite designs at prestigious international exhibitions, including the Kastoria Fur Fair, and events in Milan, Hong Kong, and Korea.
THE FAMILY LEGACY (2025)
In recent years, Kostantinos Atzemis has continued to lead the company with the same passion and vision. As we enter 2025, ArtFur has evolved into a new family-focused chapter, rebranding itself as Atzemis Furs. This new name honors the family legacy while carrying forward the same commitment to excellence and tradition that began with a single man, a few machines, and a vision to create something beautiful.

Honing his connoisseur's eye over 25 years as a General Manager at renowned houses like Avanti and Paris Furs, he now curates our High-End and Limited Edition Collections. Sakis stewards each rare piece from initial concept to final masterpiece, ensuring every detail embodies the pinnacle of luxury.

As the heart of our craft, Kostas is the master artisan who breathes life into our designs. He personally guides the entire production process within our atelier, transforming raw materials into works of art. With a deep passion for innovation, Kostas is also the creative force developing our new designs, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in modern fur artistry.
